Assistant Winemaker

In this position, the successful candidate will report to, and work with the winemaker in many aspects of the business.  We’ll be looking for a person with some mix of experience in the cellar, experience in the vineyard, supervisory experience, and winemaking education.  The person should live in the South Okanagan, be able to legally work in Canada, have a valid class 5 driver’s license, speak fluent English, be competent in Microsoft Office, and have the physical fitness required for cellar and limited vineyard work.  The person should also have, or be able to obtain a forklift operator’s license, as well as basic first aid certification.  We need an honest person who knows how to work, wants to learn, and is able to teach.

Starting date is negotiable, approximately Aug. 15 – Sep. 1, 2020.  Remuneration is very competitive, depending on education and experience.

Vineyard Manager

In this position, the successful candidate will report to, and work with the winemaker in many aspects of the business.  There will be 15 acres to farm directly, as well as working with and consulting to our contract growers.  We’ll be looking for a person with some mix of experience in the vineyard, supervisory experience, mechanical skills, and viticulture education.  The person should live in the South Okanagan, be able to legally work in Canada, have a valid class 5 driver’s license, speak fluent English, be competent in Microsoft Office, and have the physical fitness required for vineyard work.  The person should also have, or be able to obtain a forklift operator’s license, as well as basic first aid certification.  We need an honest person who knows how to work, wants to learn, and is able to teach.

Starting date is negotiable, approximately Sep. 1 – Dec. 1, 2020.  Remuneration is very competitive, depending on education and experience.

Vintage Cellar Hand

This is a full-time, short-term position that will start approximately the first week of September, through mid-November, 2020.  Our grape harvest, processing, and fermentation happens during this period and we need help during this active time.  This will require shift-work during a 6-day workweek.  We will favour people that speak fluent English, have previous vintage experience, vineyard, and tractor experience.  We will also require the person to be able to legally work in Canada, and have, or be able to obtain a forklift operator’s license, and basic first aid certificate. 

Pay for this position will be $18 – $22 per hour, depending on experience.
