Tropical aromas of pineapple, grapefruit, and mango are followed by the same flavours on the palate, which is surprisingly crisp given the ripe tropical aromas.  This is a very fresh, and refreshing, yet ripe style of Gewurztraminer; a rare achievement for this grape. Aromas of meyer lemons and blood orange are intense on this wine.  These continue as flavours on a full-bodies palate, which is bright with a crisp, refreshing acidity.
Aromas of truffle oil and grapefruit stand out on this wine.  On the palate there are distict savoury  notes of sage (very Okanagan!) and wet stone.  The texture is very oily and full with a chalky finish
Very complex and savoury aromas of sage, truffle oil, and grapefruit show on this wine with a subtle smokey frame. These follow through on the palate which is quite full bodied, but with a refreshing contrast of acidity to brighten the texture.  Typical of wines from this vineyard, there is a long chalky finish.

The Goal 2012

Generous fruit and stoney aromas follow through on the palate, which shows great balance of fruit and minerality.  The tannins are very fine - present, but not aggressive.  The finish is long, with refreshing minerality.  This is an elegant and beautiful wine that Michael feels is one of the best red wines that he has ever shown.
Fresh, bright berry aromas dominate the nose with a background of baker's chocolate and white pepper.  This wine is medium bodied, fresh and lively, with the aromas continuing through as flavour on the palate.  The tannins are ultra soft, though certainly present on both the mid-palate and through a long finish.  Enjoy with tomato sauces, spicy sausage, or grilled meat. Aromas of cranberry, cassis, cherry, and crushed walnuts (including the shells), are followed on the palate by more walnut and cherry, along with a baker's chocolate character.  Tannins are definitely present through a medium long finish, making this an excellent match to red meat. Combining the weight and dark fruit of Merlot with the bright fruit and vibrant tannins of Cabernet Franc, this wine is defined by its elegance and balance.  Minerality in the forms of wet stone and slate, and chalky aromas persist through its finish to make it remarkably refreshing and complex.
